Team import seems to have had some glitch at evo@home. Look in this thread. SETI.Germany was not imported automatically, there were only 887 teams imported before, and 1335 teams are in the data base. Gruesse vom Saenger For questions about Boinc look in the BOINC-Wiki |

You actually have to create a BOINC wide team. It doesn't happen automagicaly.... Or perhaps I'm misunderstanding the issue. Kathryn :o) |

You actually have to create a BOINC wide team. It doesn't happen automagicaly.... You're not entirely right, as our team was even automagicaly created at BOINC-wide, as we were #1 in SETI and all mayor SETI-teams were imported automagicaly ;) It is #148, and it should have been imported. There were glitches with the import script before, some unusual characters in the team name and/or description went berserk. That shouldn't happen, everything that's allowed to be in that fields should not interfere with the import. If something doesn't work with the import, it should not be allowed in the respective fields. Gruesse vom Saenger For questions about Boinc look in the BOINC-Wiki |

My team # is 179 and it has not been imported as well. The question is, to what extent does http://boinc.berkeley.edu/boinc_teams.xml equal the current BOINC-wide teams database's state (because evo@home actually used it to import BOINC-wide teams). And I remember that my team was in the XML file in the dark past of B-W-T flame wars (I remember having checked my "encrypted" e-mail address there). A number of teams were not being exported because 1) the founder no longer belonged to the team, or 2) the founder's email address had not been validated (e.g., because they had changed it and not-revalidated). I patched up these situations in the database, and added some text to the front page to make the above conditions explicit. Also, I added a warning on the Account page if the email address is not validated. -- David |

I patched up these situations in the database, Thanks! The clearly visible note in the account about the missing validation resolves much confusion! Peter |
