Hey everyone...

I couldn't post to the thread that directly covered the topic of the homepage URL for this project being hijacked by some ad company... however, I was able to reverse engineer the proper addy:

http://physicshome.tk/physics/

No at in the URL. Also, this thing has a TLD of Tokelau, .tk, so... well, who knows what they allow at the main server in Tokelau lol...

If someone wants to move this post, pls do, but I wanted everyone to see this ASAP... Peace, Cesium... :)
2) Message boards : BOINC Manager : Remove leftover tasks and projects? (Message 47489)

This is the only thread that discusses removing projects, so here goes- I hope it's the right one: :)

I have a few projects that forbid detaching from (removing from my desired projects):

VolPEx
World Community Grid
SLinCA
Mind Modeling @ Beta

I want out of WCG and SLinCA at this point. However, all I can do is a workaround by suspending the work fetch. I just want them off; I have no clue what effect they could have on my other projects. I'd also like the option, at least, of removing the other 2, though I'll keep them for now.

When these projects are highlighted, all or any, the remove button goes ghosted. It doesn't work. I even use BAM stats, and I can't get it to remove them. I need help. Anyone who can help me gets 5 cool points... thx, Cesium... :)
3) Message boards : Questions and problems : 6.6.2: why high priority? (Message 22699)

Thought of something else:

Is there anything less than high priority? Low, Medium, Medium Rare priority? :p

Seriously, is there a definition for anything like that?

Would love an explanation... thanks, Data...

Okay, I looked up priority and high priority and didn't find what I was looking for. Simple question, but I am a bit behind the curve on BOINC; I only joined a month and a half ago. Thus...

What is high priority? Does it attach to a project when a certain deadline is reached, a certain # of days before the deadline? Also, I have never seen it on any of my projects except the ones that are running at a given time, and every one so running has "high priority" appended to it.

Would love an explanation... thanks, Data...
5) Message boards : Questions and problems : Expiration Date (Message 22697)

Can someone tell me exactly what the expiration date of a unit of work is, anyhow? And why does it matter? I would think these projects would want anything and everything and not refuse some work just because it was late.

Also, what happens if something fails to make this date (has not happened to me)? Are you fined, docked points, sent to the guillotine? (lol) Are you pilloried before the BOINC masses? Just wanting to learn... thx, Data...
