From Software prerequisites (Unix/Linux):

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/SoftwarePrereqsUnix

since 7.4.0: wxWidgets 3.0.0

Try sudo apt-get install libwxgtk3.0-dev libwxgtk-webview3.0-dev

You'll get the dev packages too, but you'll also get the normal packages.

2) Message boards : Android : BOINC Android app does not work on Asus Zenphone 2 (Message 76134)

Post:
It appears that phone doesn't have an android processor, but an Intel processor.

Data sheet

So you need either Windows or Linux, possible the latter, NOT a Google app.

Boinc 7.4.x for Android is supposed to work on ARM, AArch64, MIPS, MIPS64, x86, and x86_64, There is no such thing as an android processor!!

Android
Android version 4.1 and later for ARM, AArch64, MIPS, MIPS64, x86, and x86_64
We recommend that, rather than downloading BOINC from here,
you get it from the Google Play Store or the Amazon app store (for Kindle Fire)

3) Message boards : Android : BOINC Android app does not work on Asus Zenphone 2 (Message 76133)

Hello,
I just installed BOINC Android app from Google Play to Asus Zen Phone 2. Application installed properly but it just gets stuck with a splash-screen.

Does this application work with Intel CPU architecture (Zen Phone 2 is) ?

You don't say what version of Boinc you installed, I expect Boinc 7.4.53

You can try Boinc 7.4.43 from the Berkeley site instead, you may need to run though some hoops to get it to install this way,
I think Boinc 7.4.53 has some issues with x86 processors.

Since it's been five months since the 7.6 head has been worked on, and it was even earlier than when Boinc 7.6.33 was tagged,
I've gone and Cloned the Boinc repository, tagged a 7.6.34 release, and done a pull request back at the Boinc repository,

Yes, it is checked.

Try unchecking it, Fully exiting Boinc Manager (the client can be left running), restart Boinc Manager, recheck it,
Shut down Boinc fully, then restart the host and see if it works.

6) Message boards : Questions and problems : Controlling number of threads used by BOINC (Message 75737)
Posted 6 Feb 2017 by Claggy
Post:
My CPU has 4 cores, each capable of running 2 threads for 8 in total.

So a Quad core with hyperthreading, making eight cores total.

My BOINC settings regarding this are:

On a multi-core system, use at most 1024 processors
On a multi-core system, use at most 50%
Maximum CPU time usage 30 %

You don't say what Boinc version you run, or what website you set your preferences on,
the most recent Boinc's and website preferences only have two settings:

Computing Usage limits
Use at most 100 % of the CPUs
Use at most 100 % of CPU time

The other setting was for Boinc 5 clients, and is no longer used.

And in BOINC manager: Use GPU always.

BOINC appers to use 9 calculation threads when running. During its 30% duty cycle bursts it uses all 8 cores (or according to itself 8 + 1/32th CPUS! and one GPU).

Forgetting about the "1/32th CPU", to use half the cores and as much GPU time as it wants, what should the settings be? Should I simply say use at most 4 processors and have different profiles for different machines? Thank you.

Use the term 'Tasks', Boinc will run enough tasks to occupy all your CPU cores and GPUs, subject to your preferences, and the application's requirements,
each application may have more than one thread running, the OS or the app will decide which cores they'll run on,
Boinc can run non-intensive applications too, adding to the number of Boinc related threads running,
so don't use the term threads unless you're counting them up in Task Manager or the like.

Post:
In Boinc Manager, go to the projects tab, click on Seti@home, then click on Remove,
Then add Seti@home again using your different account.

There is a way of linking a new account, and a Seti Classic account together:

And it's the same on Boinc 7.4.53 for Android.

Check in %SYSTEMDRIVE%:\Windows\System32 as there may be a more up-to-date clinfo.exe in there, deposited by the Nvidia or Intel drivers.

Or AMD, I'm sure it's an AMD file.

There is only one proper active Boinc Dev at the moment, as their funding ran out, and there isn't a Donate Button for Boinc development as projects have!!!

So if you want this interface, you'll have to grab the source code, do the coding, then submit the changes yourself.

We need dcf at app level... something asked for since years, to return the client side buffer estimation functionality.

The Dev's said it couldn't or wouldn't be done, Jason G went and did an experimental Boinc 6.10.58 with it implemented, worked fine, Dev's still weren't interested.

Einstein runs old Boinc server software, it still uses 'Task duration correction factor', while other projects use 'Average processing rate',
There is only one DCF per project, so each each different application type from a project bumps the runtime up or down as DCF alters,
it can't be very accurate, not without a lot of project fiddling of the different task type's <rsc_fpops_est> values.

Either the GPU or the driver doesn't support CAL. Judging by the r9 390 not working thread PrimeGrid's server requires CAL support even for OpenCL apps.

If the GPU supports CAL you could try an older driver or you could try some of the workarounds suggested in the PrimeGrid thread.

Or PrimeGrid fixes their apps to not require CAL support, or fix their planclasses to not require CAL support.

Post:
Few weeks past, I tried GPUGRID for secondary GPU. As long as I resume GPUGRID, BM stops getting works for Collatz, when I suspend GPUGRID, BM starts getting tasks for Collatz. After restart I get vice versa results, but BM should be controlled manually to get works for both GPUs! The main purpose of BOINC manager is to manage works automatically, instead I need to control it manually.

Boinc Manager is the GUI, With it, you view and control what the Boinc Client does, nothing more,

What you're effectively saying is (using a example) 'My House is cold, i can't get it lit', when you mean to say is 'My house is cold, i can't get the fire/boiler lit'
