I thought maybe they got their month's mixed up and "painted" the buttons seafoam green for St Patrick's day..........
Maybe we can have pink buttons for Valentines day, yellow for Easter, Orange for Halloween, etc?

Green buttons do an action.
Blue links take you to another page.

And y'all shouldn't complain. You should see this in moderator mode, with the allotment of extra buttons. Green everywhere. ;)

@Julie, it wasn't me, nuh-uh!

I thought we'd been through all that some years ago, and got the distinction between 'buttons' and 'links' sorted out.

With that in place, do we need a colo(u)r distinction on top? Can anyone dream up a situation where a green link, or a blue button, might be called for?

More peaceful on the eyes when you last look around the forums on the smartphone prior to turning it off and shutting your eyes? Therefore, I'll try to find a less harsh than that white colour that's comprising the background.

Well crap. I just read that GTA V for the PC, which was supposed to be released next Tuesday is postponed to the 24th of March 2015. Sigh.

I have fun with the "Can you run it" tool which tells me that the HD 7800 series GPU I have isn't going to cope with their 'recommended' setting:
Recommended: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB
You Have: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
Upgrade suggested!

Sigh, tools.
Even BOINC recognizes what I have. Well, sort of:
CAL: ATI GPU 0: AMD Radeon HD 7850/7870 series (Pitcairn) (CAL version 1.4.1848, 2048MB, 2008MB available, 6400 GFLOPS peak)
OpenCL: AMD/ATI GPU 0: AMD Radeon HD 7850/7870 series (Pitcairn) (driver version 1642.5 (VM), device version OpenCL 1.2 AMD-APP (1642.5), 2048MB, 2008MB available, 6400 GFLOPS peak)

It's a HD7870 2GB.

Now SETI Main and Beta don't even show the "Project is down for maintenance" message. All I get now is "Problem loading page"; "Unable to connect" messages from my browser. I even tried the Home Page for Main, and nothing... :-(

[EDIT:]

Never mind, now it's all back to "normal" and I can reach the Home Page now - and the "Project down..." messages are back.

Anybody else notice the sort order in this forum does not quite work right?
I have it set to newest post first, at the top.
When I make a new post and reload the page, my post IS at the top.
However, if somebody else makes a post and I reload the page, my last post is at the top and I have to scroll up to see newer posts other than my own.
On the Seti forums, I do not see this behavior.
Just curious.

IFAIK, its always been that way if you only use refresh. You have to leave the forum and come back to stop the focus being on your last post.

My point was....
The Seti Main forums do NOT behave that way. The page sort order here is not working in the same manner as there.
I can make a post in the Cafe last person to post thread, and my post will be first. But, every time after that, all I need to do is hit reload, and it always shows me the latest post. It does NOT lock the page to MY last post. Always brings up the latest other than mine.
It may well work the way you describe HERE....but not on Seti Main.
That's all I was trying to say.

As of two minutes ago, Seti Main did the same thing for me as here on a post.

Turns on the vacuum-robot, it starts whizzing about the floor. Let's see if it does a better job than Chris.
Plugs the Kärcher WV 50 Plus window washer into the wall socket so it's ready when Julie walks in.
Puts all glasses in the Classeq ECO 3 Glasswasher, so there's enough clean glasses when Mark returns.
Tunes the piano, for Es.
Puts bowls filled with packets of ear-plugs on the bar, for people not wanting to hear Es sing.
Puts bowls of peanuts on the bar. They look like the ear-plugs but I'm sure that people know the difference.
Turns the barstools over.
Puts wood and fire starters in the hearth, lights. Nice.

Walks off to put dinner on the table. Later all.

And here we all are again :-))

Shame really, I was really enjoying myself in politics today ...

After having a snow day yesterday, I forgot this is Tuesday. I guess I won't be posting over there for a while.

(At least I remembered to come to work at 7:30. Last time we were off on Monday, I forgot and came in at 8:00, right in the middle of a lockdown I didn't know about.)

Are you anywhere? No restraining orders against you for it?
