I highly doubt that Jeff would halt work distribution on the project just to 'teach some people a lesson' for activity in the politics forum.
That's what the mods and bans are for. Essentially shutting the project down to punish a micro fraction of a percent of participants would be illogical.

I am guessing there is a more concrete reason for the outage.
I am thinking perhaps a server software update gone awry, as the hardware was showing no signs of distress before the outage.

Thanks, still would like more weight added before I get back in a truck. Put on a stone already but would like another :-) Find it very easy to lose, but a lot harder to put on :-(

I have the opposite problem. If I ever start losing weight mysteriously, I'll be worried.

Well I need to find something I wrote once, so I can write it again for a friend, because what with the mess and now suddenly feeling sad my memory is not remembering stuff very well :( So I do hope it comes back soon because, although it's not anything to do with science, it's where I wrote it down.

SSP shows all services disabled, and Beta has been taken offline too - just like for a normal maintenance. That feels like the first step towards an attempted restart.

They found the "signal" confirming ET's presence and the Reptiles from Dulsie , N.W.O and the C.I.A have taken SETI@HOME offline , it's a mega conspiricy hehe

Must be from Europa and we will get a message saying don't visit here :-)
