BOINC HAS AN AWFUL WAY TO EXCLUDE BOTS.

IF YOU GOOF UP WITH THOSE STUPID ARTFUL WORDS AT THE BOTTOM IT WILL ERASE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE WRITTEN AND FORCE YOU TO BEGIN AGAIN.

THOSE WORDS ARE HARD TO READ AND THE WHOLE THING WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT DONE BY A SCIENTIST.

Talking about hard to read. Posting your rant in all CAPS is hard to read and considered as rude on the internet. It's as if you are shouting.

As for your complaint, I assume you're talking about the reCaptcha security setup. This is a security measure to stop spammers from making literally thousands of profiles a minute. That database space can be used for better things. The reCaptcha are supposed to be hard to read, so that bots can't just scan them in and solve them. They are words from actual books. Read this page to learn more about them.

If you are using a script blocking add-on in your browser (like NoScript) and haven't allowed the domain through yet, or are not allowing cookies to be set for the page you're on, then you get the problem you describe. But that's hardly BOINC's fault.

The security is here to stay. You can always write your profile in Notepad and just copy it over.
