Hi

I am using mandriva 2009 and their provided packages are installed.

#Service boinc-client Start [OK]

I start up boinc Manager which I have a project attached though I have to connect to localhost.
I had to find a hash file with the password and then login but it's not keeping the working password since the **** fields that appear automatic don't work.
After detecting the kernel it starts looking for some i586-mandriva-linux-gnu which doesn't match uname -a
Linux miserver08 2.6.27.7-desktop586-1mnb #1 SMP i686 AMD Turion X2 Mobile.

You'll need to take it up with the package maintainers. I think it's the way they compiled BOINC for the repository.

Can you post the complete set of messages so I can make sure it's what I think it is.
