On Echo, at the right frequency, yep, been running for hours with this beta now and the issue has not recurred and nicely the tab window gone too.

Nice, these problems are hard to find, but your report gave me the right idea where to look.
We do some translations, and make this a new release in a couple of days.

Great software actually!

The latest version works perfectly on my 3400+ (but OS Win 32 bits).

What surprises me is that the regulation doesn't "waste" a lot of cpu power. The CPU cools down quickly so spends most of the time at 99%, even when the limit is very low (I set it to 52 °C).

I noticed no bug so far, after testing and playing with the software for an hour. I'll do the test you asked for in the documentation and will send you the result.

I see the apps running as boinc_master. Normally they run as:

boinc_projects (service) or as current user.
I don't know why your computer is running the apps as boinc_master.
Probably TThrottle is not allowed to access that group.

But installing BOINC default, that is the apps runs as current user, will be the best way. More so because BOINC and TThrottle will start at about the same time.

Another solution may be, make the current user part of the boinc_master group.
Or give the current user access to the boinc projects directory.

It's the temperature graph of the two cores. Press on Scalable graph, for a larger graph with more settings.
In that graph you can see the regulation as well. Last drop-down box second selection.

T can't go higher than 91C, if it reaches 91C it drops to ~78C and begin slow rise again.
May it be motherboard's/CPU own temperature regulation?

When TThrottle says 100% is is completely deactivated. Boinc build in throttle is not working I guess? And 90C may very well be the build in temperature regulator of computer. That will probably slow down the computer and slowly regulates back up. Most likely it reads the case of the CPU (other sensor) that is a lot slower.

Setting TThrottle a bit below this temperature and activate.

BTW, there is no boinc_master group, it's account.
Don't know why boinc runs projects under its own account and not under boinc_project.
It seems Win 7/x64 still unsupported...

ADON: zig-zag T graph I've seen before is notebooks own T regulation indeed.
I checked that with CPU-Z. It reset CPU multiplier to x6 from x12 when 91C reached and keeps x6 for some time before increasing it back to x12. That is, such regulation worse than TThrottle offered, thanks again!

You just got me worried, I have Win7 64 Build 7100 here running TThrottle 1.67
Running as user and Boinc 6.6.37 is not running as a service.
And that works fine.

Ok, I will check if automatic regulation is possible (w/o running it manually with elevatedprivilegies, will d do few reboots and watch)

Did another boinc reinstall, now running as service, seti runs under boinc_project as it should be.
BUT, running with user privilegies (by autorunnin on login) TThrottle unable to throttle seti apps.
will check elevated privilegies now...
EDIT^ elevated privilegies helped, but it's unpossible to do autoload with elevated privs...
will delete boincs special accounts (to force it run as user)

It may be you don't have sufficient rights in the BOINC project directory.
The Boinc installer doesn't give the user a lot of rights.
Give the user full rights to the directory or make it a member of BOINC admin.
Win 7 is a bit unstable on my machine, seen some driver crashes with CUDA.
And as I can't run it as a service, using CUDA and as that is the default setting of BOINC.
And it is not a lot safer running BOINC as a service.

Thank you so much for this app! My computer was completely unstable after upgrading video cards to a GTX275. It was enough to consider stopping BOINC all together. With your program I was able to throttle the video card at around 80C, and it has been utterly rock-solid ever since. I knew it was causing stress due to the CUDA processing, but until I saw the temps, I didn't know whether it was the card or something like the PCI Express/Northbridge that was the real problem. Now that I see it was simply an overheating issue, I'm ordering a waterblock for my GPU!

Goto C:\Program Files\eFMer\TThrottle64\examples
And copy the tthrottle.xml file to the folder with the TThrottle64.exe, so one up.
Remove the comment around <DEBUG>1</DEBUG>.
Restart TThrottle and give me the log. It should have some more info.
