Well, Ageless has at long last started a proper speling and grammaticle thread. I can see the school english teachers isn't going to be much help. How is the kids in school ever going to learn? I hope the professors at the University of Berkeley come along and tell us the rules. I hope they are real professors, not people that passed they're university entrance exam when they were 8. I also hope they have some real speling credits, not like some guy called Jord that posted on the Seti forum demanding all sorts of intrusive information, but it turned out Jord had hardly any Seti credits so he had no idea what he was talking about. I thought it was disgracefull and you can read about it here. What made me think about that thread is this. Doug vE talks about his setings but then OzzFan says settings. Is OzzFan's speling right becuase he's a moderator or is it wrong becuase he was trying to defend some guy with practically no credits? Or is Doug right becuase he has got alot of Seti credits? Trouble about these forums is knowing who to beleive. |

Ah after reeding this threat i now no wat u meen it does'nt help that the moderrator is naimt Inglis eater is it has'nt he mispeled his name (yes, sometimes I do think that people just post whatever is in their minds to be rid of it, that it doesn't matter if it makes sense or not. As for the English and Merkans misspelling or misusing all the normal words, that's easily explained: they're all dyslexic. Just say that you are (not that you're lazy) and no-one will ask ever again). |

Yes Marj your right. Inglis means English in Scottish. http://www.searchforancestors.com/surnames/origin/i/inglis.php So why does he pretend to be Scottish? We better get him over hear to explane himself. Maybe in Scotland they're are no speling rules. |
