When I check my BOINC account, there is a large difference between my total credit on my account for a given project and the total credit for the project listed at the bottom of the page. The few pending credits do not account for the difference. Is there any way to account for this difference? |

If you're referring to what I think you are, then that list off all projects is provided by a third party stats site. So it will be behind what is listed directly by the project. Kathryn :o) |

In specific it is in the SETI. On the actual Seti Account page on BOINC, there is a large difference between the number of total credits in the middle of the page and the total credits contained in the list at the bottom of the page. |

You need to give a direct link to the page. Or if it's a page for your eyes only, then a screen shot with identifying information blanked out. It's hard to tell what you're talking about from your description (and I'm tired). Kathryn :o) |

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_user.php?userid=193220 Today there is only 220 redits difference with 189 pending. 3 days ago the gap was over 1200 with 189 pending. I was just wondering why there is a difference. Thanks for your help |

Sorry it took so long to get back to you... I was sick and not online. What you see on that page is normal. The top of the page is data taken directly from Seti's servers. So it's always up to date. The bottom of the page (where you see both projects listed) is taken from a 3rd party stats site. It will only be as up to date as the xml file from Seti. And the xml stats are generated once (or maybe a couple times) a day. There will always be a delay between the time the stats are generated by the project to the time when the 3rd party sites pull the data to when the 3rd party sites actually show the updated data. You can see the same behavior on MundayWeb's sig or BOINC Stats sigs. Kathryn :o) |
