Having https:// in a forum {url} results in http://https//...

Maybe it would be better to just check for :// and only when that is absent, preceed the link with http://

This problem has been known since BBCode was introduced. At one point one of the developers managed to fix it, but it got broken again later on. It's still somewhere low on the to-do list, last I heard. The best way around it is not to use BBCode.
