See the thread: "Listing of BOINC-based projects" for explanation. Time to Retire: SLinCA@Home. A user in BOINCStats suggested that we retire SLinCA for the following reasons: 1. Has not had any work in about a year (August 2014). 2. No updates in the NEWS section since September 2013. I second that suggestion since the website: http://dg.imp.kiev.ua/slinca/ and Add that the Message Board is in Ukranian or Russian and it is difficult to log in or register to leave a message despite some suggestion what each of their local word means. I think there is a Database error there. |

I wonder if projects should be retired automatically after a given period of inactivity (six months perhaps?) unless the project manager or the server itself sends some sort of keep-alive message. Volunteers shouldn't need to hound projects asking when new work is coming or if indeed a project is still alive at all... I wish there was better communication in this regard. |

Time to Retire Slinca. A user in BOINCStats reported a month ago that this project has had no work Units issued for over a year. DC-Stats confirms that the project has not exported stats for 23 days. I attempted to contact the project when it was still active with no success. Now the server has been down for at least a week. Jord, I beleive you are the Committer for maintaining the List of known Active projects. I will leave it up to you to leave it or remove it. I made the mistake last time of removing a project based on information available to me too early, I learned my lesson. |

Sztaki should also be retired. No replies to messages to admin. WU's just run and run...don't upload. Nothing Take your pick if you want to look through them... http://szdg.lpds.sztaki.hu/szdg/hosts_user.php?userid=24364 Most are 7.6.2 but one is 7.4.22 and a few others depending on the system. Pick a system and I will find the details for you. Or you could compare them to the same names at WUProp where it may be easier to find version numbers yourself. http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/hosts_user.php?userid=1169 Quick glance would be 7.6.2 7.4.42 7.4.22 7.4.8 7.3.11 |

This seems to have fixed the computational errors that prevented you from getting credit, which I know was frustrating. I apologize that I did not respond to messages over the Summer. I hope you will consider giving the project another chance. We are now proving lower bounds for Van Der Waerden Numbers using primes above 250 million, compared with primes up to 10 million used for previous records. Happy crunching! |

David has closed http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Project_list and wants which projects are on there but not on http://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php to be added to the latter. |
