I upgraded to Win 7. As a precaution, I uninstalled BOINC and then downloaded and reinstalled the latest .18 version.

The program runs correctly based on the statistics, but the screen saver says it has an unspecified error and does not come up.

I saw in another thread a message about showing graphics, but can't find any such command.

Has anyone had a similar problem or have a suggestion.?

Same problem with .18 as .17 on i7 920 running Vista 64 Ultimate. Checked status this morning - only one task running, instead of 8. GPU task running (GTX 250). Projects with work to run - AQUA, Einstein, SETI, WCG. Only Einstein was running.

Known problem with both .17 and .18 - confirmed fixed in .19

Only happens because you're running AQUA - read the board there - or another multi-threaded application (if there is one).

Thanks for the response, Richard. I've reverted to 6.6.41 for now until .19 is the recommended version. I'll go look at the posts at AQUA to get better informed.
