I lost all of my current work on local computer after upgrade to 6.6.31? (now it's downloading new jobs)
Why cant continue the Climate prediction project job from ~80%?(and the other 8 jobs)
_I am glad to help_ the projects, but it's waste of my time-and-money! You won't pay my *wasted energy.
This upgrade wiped ~150hrs CPU time. Yes, it was effective.

I am realy disappointed in BIONC...

Please answer my question.

You "lost" them because you didn't upgrade correctly.

In actual fact, those "lost' WUs are probably still on your computer, but in a place that the new version doesn't know about.

To start with, what version of BOINC (note the spelling!) did you have before?
What OS are you using?

My current OS: Windows7-64 RC1
Theold BOINC was: 6.6.28 or 6.6.29

The old instalation was in "D:\Program Files\BOINC\"
the new installer wannt to install to "D:\Program Files (x86)\BOINC\" instead the correct "D:\Program Files\BOINC\"

in the advanced settings I selected "D:\Program Files\BOINC\" folder but it is installed to the wrong "D:\Program Files (x86)\BOINC\" folder (I tried 3x times)
I can miss sometimes but not 3 times in row...
but never mind, I deleted the old boinc folder (problem solved :D )

Next time I will wait to finish all jobs, then upgrade...

You probably (inadvertantly?) switched from 64 bit to 32 bit installation.

The download page detects what kind of platform you're on by 'seeing' what browser you're using.

The problem with the detection is that there are no 64bit browsers. So the version that is showing on the normal download page is always the 32bit version, as that is what is detected for your browser. You need to be vigilant enough to click the All versions link and choose the 64bit version instead.
