I would like to try Boinc 6.3.8 with GPU capabilities, but when i upgrade from 6.2.6, i have some problems.

When install finished, boinc mnanger won't connect to Boinc, even if the service is start.

I try to install it on a new directory, but this is the same issue.

I try this on Vista X64 and Server 2K3 X64.

Please don't bother with any 6.3 build currently. It hasn't even been released to the alpha testers. It's being used by a specific project for development.

Folks,

Please don't go after the 6.3.x builds as yet. They are an experimental
build for specific purposes and won't be released to the public in any
way shape or form. The builds we should be focused on are the ones
published on the download page.

Sorry, Jim. I didn't mean to sound mean. I misread your post the first time.

I'll let someone more experienced with version 6 on Windows answer.

In Trac. Since the alpha testers aren't testing 6.3 yet, we don't get information on what changes were made. So the only way for you to find out what was added/fixed is to look in Trac Timeline.

Or keep an eye on the GPUGrid forums:

Is there anything we should watch out for?

1) It reports the name of the GPU on the client messages.
2) It is ready to support multiple GPUs (We have to test it yet).
3) It fixes a bug which was wrongly setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH. (From the first runs with the new client, it did not seem to fix the libcudart.so not found problem of some machines though, but let's test some more days).
