Hey,

Trying to get my first project running.
All my workunits reach 100% on the client side but they don't get reported to the server. Even upper_case exhibits this behaviour.

Any idea why this might occur?

BOINC does not report immediately, it waits up to 24 hours between finishing&uploading the tasks and reporting them. This is done so project servers aren't swamped with all those 1 tasks reporting. It's better to report them in batches.
