When I attach a new client to my project I get:

[file_xfer] Started download of (executable)
[file_xfer] Finished download of (executable)
[file_xfer] Throughput ....

After which I get on every client some message like:

Requesting 8640 seconds of new work
Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 508]
Message from server: No work sent
Reason: requested by project

There are workunits and results in the database and boincadm and wwwrun (apache) both have access to the database. This is incredibly annoying. I have been banging at Boinc for days and I can't get past this error. If you don't know how to fix it or debug it quickly list some of the possible things that could be causing it and ways to check them.

Have you checked the server side log for the host communication?

It often contains informations that you cannot see in the host side log.
