I upgraded on my Fedora Dell Latitude E7440 with 16G RAM from version 40 to 41, current and stable. I upgraded BOINC from 7.20 to 8.0.2 right after and now I get "Unable to connect to core client" message in BOINC Manager. How do I get the manager to connect to the core client? I have been running BOINC for nearly 20 years with CPDN, Einstein, Milkyway, and World Community Grid.

When I launch BOINC Manager, I get this message: "gui_rpc_auth.cfg exists but can't read. See https://boinc.berkeley.edu/gui_rpc.php". When I ran this command to set authorization, I receive this meeage when I launch BOINC Manager: "Another Instance of BOINC Manager is already running" and BOINC does not show up in the System Monitor.

I installed the upgrade from these packages here: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/linux/stable/fc40/

Thank you any advice given. -Kevin
