I am a new user, and I am trying to update and call for new tasks, but the status reads "Communication deferred". I have another project that is running Milkyway@Home. I have tried suspending Milkyway to see if they are fighting for the same resources, but no joy

We are heading towards the one year anniversary of the project, so far, it has not issued any work. It may do in the future however, so is doing no harm sitting on the projects list of crunchers. Projects generally co-operate fine without issue under BOINC, it is not something you need to loose sleep over.

If you want to add projects to your system, the website https://www.boincstats.com/ has a, more or less complete, list of alternate projects. Click the link "Active Projects" link on the left of the home page there. It is certainly a good starting point.

I guess my question is: Why is my BOINC Manager not receiving tasks from BOINC Central when it does not have an issue with receiving tasks with other projects?
