HTC is supporting Android-based volunteer computing through a new program called Power to Give. This is described in two YouTube videos: one about how to participate and another about the science being done.

Visiting the HTC Power To Give site, they list the options for four World Community Grid sub-projects, none of which are active: Nutritious Rice for the World (completed), Say No to Schistosoma (intermittent), Computing for Clean Water (intermittent), and Help Fight Childhood Cancer (intermittent). The YouTube videos would suggest that Rosetta and SETI are also options (due to clips with the head researchers from those projects) but my phone isn't compatible so I can't try it out for myself and see what's going on there. I don't see any updated news page or forums, do you have any more information on their project?

I wonder if these initiatives (first by Samsung, now by HTC) will get any users to BOINC proper, as they are both fairly limited in their scope.
