Funny, today in on the boinc_admin google group:
My name is Z and i write to you from this company, an international ad network that specializes in monetizing ad-space inventory for publishers.

our research shows that our advertisers are ideally matched to your traffic.

We are looking to buy remnant ad-space inventory. Could this be interesting for you?

All of the eastern artic and the northeastern part of
the continent have been having a record breaking span
of cold weather. I guess it as getting past time to try
to fix any of this!

In the end it's the change in the weather not
the day to day weather that is worrying me.

edit:
The sun just came out, for now...

Note to last one out the door to lock up... We don't want Ageless to come back to this next week:
A "drunk" squirrel has caused hundreds of pounds of damage at a private members' club.

The secretary of Honeybourne Railway Club said he originally thought someone had broken into the premises, near Evesham in Worcestershire.
The floor was covered in beer and glasses and bottles smashed, Sam Boulter said.
Mr Boulter, 62, said he then saw a squirrel "staggering around" after coming out from behind a box of crisps.

'Turned on the taps'
He added: "There were bottles scattered around, money scattered around and he had obviously run across the bar's pumps and managed to turn on the Caffrey's tap.

"He must have flung himself on the handle and drank some as he was staggering around all over the place and moving a bit slowly.
"I've never seen a drunk squirrel before. He was sozzled and looked a bit worse for wear, shall we say."
Mr Boulter, who estimated he lost about £300 in the incident, eventually caught the squirrel in a waste paper bin and released it out of the window.

LOL...I guess I'm not the only sot trashing the taverns...although I have not done so in many years...
Nowadays, I just stick to trashing certain forums.

Sorry 'bout that.

Mind you, I shall make a concerted effort not to further trash this bastion of safe harbor for myself.

Jord, and all others here, have been rather forbearing on my part.

The 'NO YOUTUBE LINKS IN THE SETI IS DOWN CAFE' post it note is still attached to the monitor. The kitties have not chewed it up just yet....LOL.

Now, if I can just remember to read it once in a while whilst off on a tear......

I do hope you understand me, at least some of the time.
Life is not easy for a habitual alcoholic for some 40 years.
Yes, I admit it, and yes, it is true.

I have learned to live with the monkey on my back. Many times it has pulled me down. But it is my burden to bear, and my only real sorrow comes when it has caused me to bring sadness to others. Which it has done often enough. After 40 years of life this way, I have learned to control it except here on the forums, where I find release at the expense of others, it seems.

I don't drive drunk. I don't go to work drunk. If I overstay my party time, I call in to work and take a day off. I won't and don't put into doubt either my job or the work I do every day. It is a very important task I do each and every day at the fire truck factory, and I take it very seriously.

Please, no dire warnings about my future. I have it in check. Fact is, as I have grown older, things are more stable now than ever, my problem notwithstanding. At the very least, I have learned my limitations and their consequences if I do not control where I go just a bit.

Lori loves me. My kitties love me. Some on Seti still do. I also realize that I have lost many friends there due to my behavior.

My life is, whether I present it so at times or not, rather fine. After all, I have CATS. And they mean more to me than just an avatar on Seti. My cats are my life force, you see. And that is not an overstatement.

And when my stupid little brain chemicals all get lined up at times, I can see that very very clearly. And then at times, I cannot....the clouds come in and darkness sets in....

I have a problem unrelated to my alcoholism regarding brain chemical imbalances and they toss me WAY off kilter once in a while....very hard when you mix everything together.
Emotional stability is not my strong suit...to say the least...LOL.

In closing, no matter where I am today, I may be in a better or perhaps worse place tomorrow, emotionally speaking.
But...........there is always an upside coming, not matter how dark the hour at hand might seem.

I love you all so very much, and hope that you love me back as well.
When I get difficult to understand, I hope that you shall remember the things I have said here tonight. And afford me, once again, the understanding that only true friends can offer.

Meow for now.

Best wishes and kitty kisses to you all,

Mark

Meouch....
Temps are steamy here...not fun to work in.
And not good to crunch in either.
5 outta 9 rigs shut down, AC on.
Heat wave for at least a week....upper 80's and muggy.

But, I gotta try to keep the crunchers and the kitties from melting.
So, idle time for over half the farm for at least a week.
Might have to shut down more if the AC cannot keep up.
Now Dad has to run off to build some fire trucks in this nastiness.
NOT fun.

Keeping the kibbles cool for my kitties.

Meow.

It's normally not the heat that is such a problem, but the humidity. At least around here. I've been several weeks in 30-40C heat in Spain without trouble, but have that heat here in The Netherlands and you have to count the humidity of 60% and higher as well, the latter being extremely sapping, especially at night.

Spot-on there, Jord. Today was hot, but the humidity starts moving in tomorrow.
Upper 80's with stifling humidity is forecast for almost a week.
Have to go in to pull 5 hours of mandatory OT tomorrow, which I would rather skip.
But, no escaping next week........
