LHC doesn't have work.
Seti doesn't have work, or only sporadically to clear up database work in anticipation of the new servers, expected to go live at the end of November.
Superlinkattechnion hasn't had work since the dawn of time.

Attach to Einstein, for instance, or any of the sub-projects at World Community Grid, if you want sturdy amounts of work. Or choose other projects at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php. Check their project forums for information about whether or not they have work.

why doesn't LHC have work? that's really disturbing. when BOINC has work i have no regrets letting my system be on even for long breaks because it wouldn't count as wasting electricity.

LHC@home was/is for designing and refining the magnets used to steer the energy beam.
This has mostly been done, with only small amounts of work still being done.
There are several threads on the project's forums about this.

What work is currently available is for Windows, and is being grabbed by the ten's of thousands of computers constantly asking there for work.
The only way to ensure that YOU get some, would be to only have that project on a computer, and to have it permanently active.

According to another thread on their website, some different type of work may become available sometime next year.
