Here's to proving Einstein right yet again & cracking the remaining Enigma cipher (and hopefully setting to work on the Zodiac Killer cipher(s) after Enigma is finished) :)

Current Projects: Einstein@home, Enigma@home (limited), and the Original M4 Project (Enigma) Software.

I am running Einstein@home full-time on both my desktop (Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40GHz [Dual Core] [x86 Family 15 Model 3 Stepping 4]) and my laptop (AMD Turion(tm) 64 Mobile Technology ML-34 [x86 Family 15 Model 36 Stepping 2])

I am running Enigma@home on my old Mac I-Book (which is pretty slow to be honest, with an average credit of 23 lol) However, on both my Dell desktop and AMD laptop I am running the original M4 software for cracking the Enigma cipher's full-time as well (2 instances on the dual-core, 1 instance on the AMD and have been doing so since forever ago, so my actual credit for the Enigma@home project would be way beyone the 11,000+ I have however, it's not really about the credit for me, it's the science - or in this case, it's about cracking the code.
Your opinions about BOINC message boards
1) Why do you run BOINC? : Contrary to popular belief, I'm a total geek - especially when it comes to physics and/or astronomy. I'm also heavy into Cryptography. With BOINC I can help work with all of the above with like-minded people around the world and hopefully contribute knowledge along the way. Not to mention I can take part in helping prove Einstein right yet again AND crack one of the last remaining Nazi codes all at the same time. In all honesty though, I believe that BOINC Projects have the best chance of changing the world. I believe that Einstein is going to be proven right (yet again), gravity waves will be observed, and their discovery will rate pretty high on the list of scientific discoveries I will see in my lifetime. So, here's to proving you right once again Mr. Einstein!

And as for the remaining Enigma code, I dont necessarily believe it's going to change the world or anything when it's cracked however, it will add a minor footnote to history. No longer will it read "...the enigma was finally broken with the exception of this message..." :) My grandfather and 4 of his brothers helped defeat the Nazi's in WWII in doing so, my grandfather obtained 2 wounds and one of his brothers lost his life - helping to crack this code is kind of my way of flipping Adolf the bird :)

2) What are you views about the project? : I think I more than covered this one in the above paragraphs :)

3) Any suggestions? : Not really. Not unless someone reading this would like to work on a distributed-computer attack on the Zodiac Killer's 340 cipher (or any/all of his other unsolved ciphers)
