Your personal background.
I'm a four year survivor of a brain tumor, but in spite of that, I'm still able to perform my job as an engineer. Of course, I'm not the only engineer at my job missing part of his brain, so I can't get too prideful about it.

My main hobby is messing with my Linux computers and learning as much as I can about them. I've learned to create an mp3 server recently and I've been running whatever boinc projects that I can find source code for on my Linux running IBM Power.

I'm doing it for the team - SETI.USA Go team!

Distributed computing in general is a great idea. Harnessing unused processor cycles is a great idea and can help projects such as this that need large amounts of data processed.

I make the same suggestion everywhere I go. Please release the source code so that users can compile for their non-standard archs.
