ENGLISH

It all started in 1999 with seti@home and BOINC, hoping to find E.T. in the year 2000 !

I was running a single IBM G4 1Ghz cpu on a eMac and thought how blazingly fast it was !

Then, I guess with Trumps budgets cuts to the National Science Foundation, they had no choice but to shut down seti@home in 2020.

I'm now at 60, retired in Montréal, Québec.

I'm very motivated to contribute advancing gravitational wave research since it's now become the cutting edge of new astro and quantum physics.

That's been a passion of mine since reading Time-Life's 8 volumes of the encyclopaedia of science in the 70's.

And also a reason to choose einstein@home is because the project managers are smart enough to tap into the MAC/eGPU potential.

I built a little iMac/eGPU cluster at home and I'm happy I can generate about 2M credits a day to science. I'm lucky, here in Quebec, the cost of electricity is one of the lowest in the world.

My only wish is that they port CUDA apps from Linux to Mac so that even though, nvidia/CUDA support in deprecated since macos Mojave, I could run them on my nvidia GPUs with Macos High Sierra, which still supports nvidia/CUDA.

Can't wait to see the amazing discoveries !
