Profile: StarzDust66

Your personal background.
I am a retired educator now the Great Age of 66. I have taught high school astronomy and geology and as adjunct professor of astronomy at the college level. I was born and raised in the Great Lake State of Michigan. However, I relocated to the Grand Canyon State of Arizona after completing two of of my 4 college degrees. As one might guess, astronomy is my passion now as just an amateur astronomer. Along with astronomy I enjoy tinkering with computers and in fact run all my astro gear on them. I have also been involved with distributed computing for a number of years, first SETI@Home and then and currently Einstein@Home. The celestial sphere screensaver deployed with Einstein@home is just the coolest I've seen. And, to think be involved with searching through LIGO signals that recorded gravity waves produced by the collision of neutron stars and black holes, totally cool!
