I run BOINC in honour of my late Sister - C. Seema De Zwirek (1945-2002) who was fascinated with all things about space and enjoyed speculation about its exploration. She especially loved Star Trek.
Through her I first started donating cycles to SETI Classic, then to BOINC. I have now started a BOINC group on LinkedIn..
Seema's name is engraved on the pyramid on the Itokawa asteroid. It was successfully placed there by the Hayabusa spacecraft. Her name is out there in space for eternity.
