Hi.
Yep, got the BOINC bug. Currently have 8 in my little home farm, ranging from a Celeron 600 to a Dual Core E2180 and looking to expand. The P111 500 and MMX300 are no longer with me and both were donated to good homes.
On a personal note. I am a retired Senior Train Controller, that's a dispatcher for the Americans out there, and a multi design, yacht race handicapper.
Best Recalled Moments
1) Proving the nay-sayers wrong, when my radical yacht handicapping formula, produced and run by a Comodore64 (what else?), had a staggered start fleet of 30, widely varying design yachts, all finish a 3 hour race with 28 seconds covering the entire fleet and 2.5 seconds splitting the top 7 across the finish line.
2) An Air Traffic Controller on tour of the Control Centre at which I worked... The colour draining from his face as he realized that he was watching 10's of thousands of Kilometres of single track rail, where trains travelled in both directions on the same line, as he stammered, "but, but you can't tell them to climb to 10,000 feet!!"
