Your personal background. |
I am a Construction Manager / Superintendent of construction by trade living in the panhandle of Florida. I do custom, weird, strange and nearly impossible commercial construction projects - the ones no one else likes to do. I have a construction engineering degree from Iowa State University but enjoy field work to office tedium anyday! To relax, I enjoy building computers and model railroading.

Your opinions about BOINC message boards |
Originally, I was really impressed with SETI but since BOINC came about, I have devoted most of my computer time to Predictor and Rosetta since my wife is extremely diabetic. I hope that through all of our combined efforts that a cure will be found. I also contribute to QMC and Climate Prediction - both have useful applications for all.
I have always been a competitor and wanted the most credit possible in the least amount of time. So far I have over 2 million credits with the computers I have built and others I maintain. Currently, I am a Predictor @ Home tester because it seems fitting that I "contribute" some of my time to make our applications better for everyone. I really appreciate the time and effort of everyone involved in medical research and in general (on all projects) the required computer research to make the apps run - it is hard work to make a program flexible enough to handle all the different types of processors / hardware combos / Operating systems. My hat is off to those that do - if I can help by just running and reporting - that is way cool! |
