I got it working again using the ideas you gave and some improv. I copied the real folders on my secondary drive for safe keeping. The installer wanted to keep repairing the new version of the Manager and Datafolder on my primary drive. Since it was disassociated completely with my original install I took the risk and uninstalled Boinc. When I reinstalled I was able to select the original folders on my secondary drive. Windows took over a minute to set up permissions to the folder what with all the datasets in it. Manager launched and after some intense disk reading all my projects, datasets, and stats came back up. Strange that an OS feature update would break something like that. I wanted to add the steps I had to take in case Windows is changing how they handle shortcuts and installations.

Boinc is installed on a secondary hard drive. The data folder is there, but the Manager has lost the projects and therefore the link to the data. Is there a way to link the manager back to the data that is already on the machine? Tried connecting to a new project and the new data was copied to the primary hard drive rather than the secondary one. It seems the update cause BOINC to disassociate with the secondary hard drive.
