1) Message boards : Android : BOINC Android App on F-Droid (Message 82918) Posted 12 Nov 2017 by Schneiderpopeider Post: Hello there, I was thinking about installing the BOINC app on my Android phone but I was a bit disappointed when I was asked to download the App from the Google Play Store because a download from the normal site is not recommended. I asked myself whether its possible to additionally release the App on the F-Droid store, which would be in my opinion a crucial improvement for privacy concerned users and interesting for people using other mobile operating systems such as Lineage. As I dont know a lot about programming, I cant tell if the Android App somehow may violate the F-Droid Inclusion Policy (https://f-droid.org/en/docs/Inclusion_Policy/). I couldt find any recent discussion about this topic, do you know more about it (for example previous attempts to add the app to F-Droid)? Thanks in advance.
