Posted 13 Feb 2020 by dazzadazzadazzadazza Post: That's perfect thank you. Reason for the old .exe is trying to reinstall after a glitch. There's an odd hex file halting any new installs and for the life of me cant figure it out. So a wild stab in the dark and using the old version to install over the old version?? Makes sense to me but i'm a simple person ; ) |

Lets see if some life can be breathed back into the old failed E: drive. All keys throught he registry were removed, all boinc related keys which could be located anyhow. Appreciate your time. |

Install Error Issues - Please help

Posted 19 Oct 2017 by dazzadazzadazzadazza Post: Hi all, after many hours of button clicking and head scratching i've decided to give in and ask for some help... -Boinc was installed, running fine. -The original install and data was not being saved on C: but sharing some internal hard drive space and using E: -E: Failed after some years of heavy pounding -Uninstall was not successful as E: no longer exists -Install was halted on error 1714. It beleieves theres another version still present -Attempted removing all BOINC entries via regedit.exe -Attempted MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta program -Still issue exists Please help OS Win7 64bit |
