When I insall BOINC I specify that I dont want it as the default screen saver as it has problems with Password on exit of the screensaver on an NT based machine. I dont know about 5.4.x though, can anyone say?

I found a similar problem on my new Pentium D PC. I have stopped using the boinc screensaver because I found somewhere that the 5.2.x manager and some older clients have problems with the screensaver so I am waiting for 5.4.x to test and see if its fixed. In the mean time I use the Windows XP screensaver with password on resume.

I did find this as a known problem with 5.2.13 and some older clients but I cant find it again. I am just using the Windows `Flag` screensaver with password on exit until 5.4.x arrives then I will try it again.

I look after a School network and it is policy that users, even staff cannot install applications without getting support involved. This is partly to stop rogue applications and partly so support know what they are supporting. I hope this gives a little insight.

I have just got a new Pentium D PC. I am running SETI Rosetta and climate change and sometimes the PC hangs at the Boinc Screensaver, it will not go back to the normal windows screen. I have no password on exit set and one time the screen was also corrupt so I checked and I do have the latest drivers. Why would this be? Will there be an uodate to 5.2.13 of boinc?
