1) Message boards : Promotion : Project: Kernel Optimization and Boinc Space/Science Promotion
Message 106605 Posted 30 Dec 2021 by NateDoge |
Hello, I registered a few domains today as I was feeling ambitions. Boinc.Space - Intend to host a wiki and forum for boinc related space projects. Promoting the use of distributed computing. Gentoo.Space - Kernel optimization and provide support for optimizing boinc on specific hardware. I understand crunching numbers has different requirements. Was wondering if someone could provide me more information about how boinc works or would like to assist in kernel optimizations and doing test benchmarks. We can log our progress publicly on the wiki and maybe get hardware vendors to participate. EarthAgency.Space - Unified tongue and cheek agency for nerds interested in space. Likely sell merch and discuss science. If anyone is interested please let me know. Thanks, Nate |
2) Message boards : Promotion : Boinc in a box.

Hello, With these larger arm systems coming out with hundreds of cores would it be possible to create boinc nodes with multiple gpu's cores and run them off of tesla power walls and a reasonably small solar array. Making the entire package self sustainable? Creating a server rack with multiple nodes? Run them on linux with optimized kernels. Then use it as a tax write off? Make a solution and then bang for your buck it. |
