BOINC Manager doesn't connect to localhost (MacOS El Capitan)

Posted 18 Sep 2017 by Dirk Post: Eric, it seems really as a kind of little fight who's stronger - you or the Mac. Usually I never give give up. I re-installed MacOS (cmd + R after reboot). Before I uninstalled BOIN with Uninstaller and then deleted also the data files in "/Library/Application Support/BOINC Data" (the folder). That was at the end successful but lost all current calculated results. Good luck or better much success, Dirk |

Posted 17 Sep 2017 by Dirk Post: Since some days the BOINC Manager doesn't connect to localhost. I perfomed the upgrade to 7.8.2 but the issue still exist. I even reinstalled MacOS. Error Message: BOINC Manager can't connect to the BOINC Client. Any idea how I can get back my computer to support my BOINC projects? Many thanks in advance, Dirk[/img] |
