Hello Everyone,
I am using boinc for creating my school project, till now i am able to host the project from boinc provided VM.
now i want to show some POC to my lecture by any simple application. Upper_Case App provided by boinc community itself is best for me to show the demo.

i have Upper_Case App but i don't how to host it or where i need place it. Please provide some guidance.

Hello Everyone,
I have two computers say A and B.

Computer A - windows Server - on the top of it i installed Virtual box which is using Boinc-server-virtual machine.
Computer B - windows 10 machine - with boinc client software.

Project is hosted from computer A with Example App. I am able to access the web page on the same machine (Computer A-server).

My question is how to connect the client to server?

hello ,
I am trying to setup boinc server on via on ubuntu 17.
I am following this link https://wiki.debian.org/BOINC/ServerGuide/Initialisation but i stuck at some step that is starting up daemons.

when i run $./bin/start (consider 1.3.3.2 on above link) i got some error that look like.

Traceback (most recent call last):
FIle "./bin/start"/ line 789, in <module>
if lock_file(start_lockfile):
File "./bin/start", line316, in lock_file
file = open(filename,'w')
IOError: [Error 2] No such file or directory: '/var/lib/boinc-server/boinctest/pid_boincserver-virtualBox/start.lock.boincserver-VirtualBox

I am using ubuntu on Virtual Box and my username is boincserver.

please help me out.

Actually i am finding difficulties installing server on my laptop. I am using VM provided by Boinc itself for Oracle Virtual box but it is quite confusing. Can You suggest me what is the best way to use server like VM, fresh installation on linux or if you can share some useful online resource that can help me to setup a small POC.

I just have a quick Question.
1) is It possible to setup Boinc Serve at my home for personal use connecting 5-6 Laptops or Desktop.
2) If answer is Yes for above question than my next question is , Do client and Server can communicate without internet connection. I mean like intranet rather then Internet connection. ?
