VT-d is enabled in my BIOS, just rebooted and checked - Asrock Z170 Pro4S, with i5 6600k. will run builddep on docker and VirtualBox but don't know if that will fix it - is it a kernel issue if it's enabled in my BIOS?

so I'm running the boinc client from a docker container with the VirtualBox verbose directions as given on the official docker container https://hub.docker.com/r/boinc/client/ but it is throwing an error 5632 for gpu detection. this happens whether I run the container with verbose VirtualBox or with verbose OpenCL, so it seems like a dependency issue. what would be my first troubleshooting steps here, what does this error mean?

so recently Boinc decided to move all of its files to my home directory instead of using /var/lib/boinc. the good side of that is it fixed pretty much all of my errors with VirtualBox and OpenCL, but the bad news is that the boinc files were in my personal, secure files and weren't even contained in a parent boinc folder so about 200 new files popped up, unorganized, in my home folder. I installed boinc from my package manager on Fedora, does anyone know how to get this version of boinc to point to the right directory?

I recently got my computer to detect my GPU in BOINC (Fedora 26 Mesa AMD), but now I'm getting this error:
E: fatal error: cannot open file '/usr/lib64/clc//polaris10-amdgcn-mesa-mesa3d.bc': No such file or directory

anyone know what this is?

I checked the log recently because none of my GPU work has left the queue, and I'm getting errors on my OpenCL libs:
E: fatal error: cannot open file '/usr/lib64/clc//polaris10-amdgcn-mesa-mesa3d.bc': No such file or directory

anyone know what this is?

I have tried this kernel actually, and it works!! so many GPU queues in BOINC now, so I can contribute to a better extent.

it's much more convenient for me to just use the package manager and let it deal with software stuff when possible - it gets rid of conflicts and just reduces headaches. looking at ROCm, it's running linux 4.9? when's it last been updated, and would this http://copr-fe.cloud.fedoraproject.org/coprs/mystro256/amd-mainline-kernel/ kernel with AMDGPU-PRO implementations for OpenCL work for single gpu?

I have the iGPU on the Intel chip and the RX 480 discrete. as this is Fedora and closed source doesn't really play nice with anything I have installed, I'm running the latest beta of the mesa drivers. someone said on another forum they may not have OpenCL?

Fedora Rawhide 64-bit; both Boinc v. 7.6.22-7 and VirtualBox v. 5.1.22-1 installed from the Fedora repos. VirtualBox has its plugins installed, and I'm pretty sure I added user boinc to the virtualbox group. what else can I check?

error 49408 doesn't show up in any Google searches... I added AMDAPPSDK to BOINC's runtime environment in the system file, but other than that this is an unedited BOINC version. help?
