It was unplugged intentionally for that, so I know it wasn't computing in that moment. The issue I'm having is that according to my logs, I'm not computing AT ALL...and yet I seem to be making progress.

Regarding downloading the new version, I thought that even if you had an old version, it would update along with all of my other apps. Based on the screenshot below, it looks like work is being done... but based on the logs, it's not. Oh, and BOINC wanted an update, so it's running 7.3.5 now.

Can someone shed some light on what this means? Edit: For the time window I posted, the phone was at 100% charge and plugged in, which is how I have it set up in preferences. Running BOINC version 7.3)

5) Message boards : Questions and problems : Disabling BOINC messages? (Message 42564) Posted 14 Feb 2012 by Leadfingers Post: I'm a system admin at a small firm. I've given thought to installing BOINC on users' systems as they come to be rebuilt (They go completely unused for 12-16 hours a day...) If I were to do this, I'd want to disable the messages that occasionally pop up when the system is restarted. Is there a way to do that? Also... is there any way to install BOINC "as a service"? I remember being able to do that with a very old client but don't see the option any longer. Thanks!

6) Message boards : BOINC Manager : Updating BOINC and BONC Behavior... (Message 2531) Posted 11 Jan 2006 by Leadfingers Post: "But you do know that the screen saver takes up quite a bit of CPU power?" That's why Im asking. One of my Boinc systems is my file server, so I never really need to see the screen. I'd MUCH rather run a "command line" version there if possible. Same may be true with the PVR that I built. I'll check out those links this evening when my 1 year old isn't crawling on me. :)

When you install a new version of BOINC, should you first un-install the old version? 2. Is there an installation option that runs like the old "command line" version from Seti? 3. When the BOINC Manager loads at startup, it minimizes itself on my task bar (not the system tray) and won't go away. Can I kill that task without interupting the screensaver? Thanks in advance... :)
