(Message 108084) Posted 14 May 2022 by Corsair Post: after squeezing the brain and trying everything, I guessed that could be something related to folders permission, because I had some similar behaviour with another apps. so I did: sudo systemctl enable boinc-client sudo systemctl start boinc-client sudo su chmod 777 /var/lib/boinc chmod 777 /var/lib/boinc-client exit also transferred fresh copies with the data I want of "remote_hosts.cfg" and "gui_rpc_auth.cfg" to /var/lib/boinc-client and in /var/lib/boinc too, but I show that was auto transferred to it. sudo reboot now after being on line I show that boinc is running and I was able to controle from Boincview in another computer with my previous settings. only difference shown now is this line in the boinc log: Data directory: /var/lib/boinc-client started now boinc manager and I was able to work with it, but it showed me the dialog to attach new project and no project was listed in the window, so I did it from my desktop with Boincview and I was able to attach projects. after that I can see the work in my RasPi. still attach projects in boinc manager has no project list to attach??[/list]

(Message 108082) Posted 14 May 2022 by Corsair Post: Hi all, I started with a Raspi 4 - 8 GB also installed SSD and booting from it. Raspberry Pi OS (64 Bits) Debian Bullseyes. Installed boinc either by sudo ... either by install programs feature. hundred times installed, cleaned, etc. I see it's installed and I can run via terminal boinc, but I have to keep this windows active, no way to start the program at startup, also I've been able to connect to another computer via BOINCView. 1 - Boinc not started and started Boinc manager, not able to find boinc running, start the client and restart the manager??? I've also check that in the manager is the option on start and close the client. 2 - Started boinc in terminal window, started the manager, can't find gui_rpc_auth.cfg file, not able to connect the visit https://boinc.berkeley.edu/gui_rpc.php 3 - Started boinc in terminal window, started another terminal window sudo su boincmgr ..... and working like a charm, but also not able to close neither open again the client Could anyone explain me what happens?? how to solve it from my current user in RasPi??
