Since I've installed BOINC, my mouse sensitivity has a tendency to go haywire... The appearance of the "BOINC is currently suspended..." tooltip seems to be directly related to this phenomenon. If I click on the tray icon, causing the tooltip to appear, my mouse sensitivity goes up...a lot. When the tooltip disappears, the sensitivity returns to normal...most of the time.

It's worth noting the tooltip does not always trigger the change in sensitivity...nor have I been using the BOINC Manager during every occurance of the issue. I have installed a couple of other peices of software in the past few days, so I hope I'm not barking up the wrong tree. BOINC just seems to be the most likely culprit at this point... I'll probably try uninstalling in the next couple of days to see if it helps.

A day without running BOINC, and my mouse sensitivity issues have disappeared... I think it is safe to say the problem is BOINC related.

Relevant stats:

Windows XP SP2 fully patched
Logitech Mouseware 9.79 w/ mx310 mouse
Mouse Sensitivity slider is all the way to the left
Acceleration is set to High
