1) Message boards : BOINC client : Issue with slow-down

I have BOINC running on three computers (4 Core, 6 Core (Hyper), and 8 Core (Hyper)). When everything came back online, my average shot up pretty high - almost all of my jobs have been in the 1:40 minute range, with the occasional 3-hour job from Smash Childhood Cancer feed.

Ever since May 4th, my averages have dropped by over 100,000 credits on my user stats and continue to drop lower and lower every day. What can I provide to help review what's going on with my computers?

2) Message boards : Questions and problems : Upgraded Linux Mint, now program won't connect

I upgraded my Linux to Linux Mint 20 Ulyana base: Ubuntu 20.04 focal, and that install went smoothly; but on reboot BOINC wouldn't start automatically. So I uninstalled and reinstalled BOINC hoping that would solve it - well it did, kind of. The program now launches on reboot but won't connect (shows "disconnected" at bottom).

If I close that instance and launch manually via the desktop icon everything works fine. In my Startup Applications BOINC Manager is listed twice, one with a 10 second delay. I have tried selecting just one and disabling the other but no changes to the program initialization issue.

Also, when it loaded on boot I used to have an icon in my try on the bottom right (next to the date/time) and that has disappeared as well.

I'm not an expert Linux user, so if you reply with solutions please include the command line entry (sudo or whatever), if necessary...

Thank you in advance...
3) Message boards : Questions and problems : BOINC keeps crashing in Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia

I have a feeling this is because of an update to Linux, but I will go to bed after ensuring the program is running, wake up in the morning and it will be gone!

To try and resolve for now, I have performed an uninstall/purge/install of BOINC and it worked fine on the first boot-up.

The system does not run with an active screensaver and the sleep/hibernate flags are off.

I'm not experienced with Linux - the only reason I built this little 4-core is so it would run BOINC next to my 6-core.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
4) Message boards : Questions and problems : Mult-processor CPU Question

I have a 6 core and 4 core CPU system both running BOINC. Right now, all 6 cores on the one system and all 4 cores on the other are working on individual tasks running at 90% of each core. My question is, is there a way to get all 6/4 cores to work on 1 task at a time? It would seem to me that the computers could get through tasks quicker that way and possibly knock out more tasks compared to only 1 core on 1 project.

Just a thought.
