1) Message boards : BOINC client : Can we have shorter GPUGRID projects please ? (Message 74736) Posted 11 Dec 2016 by Banuazizi Post: When I run GPUGrid, at first it downloads two small work units that take around 2 hours on my GTX970. Then it downloads two big ones that take over 8 hours. I want to contribute, but I don't want to have 8 hour long projects because my fan becomes noisy and I just want to deal with 2 hour work units. How can I choose smaller projects that finish faster ?

2) Message boards : News : New recommended client for Windows and Mac (Message 74735) Posted 11 Dec 2016 by Banuazizi Post: Installed "boinc_7.6.33_windows_x86_64.exe" over 7.6.2.2 installation. During installation it asks to browse to find BOINC.exe I helped it find it in C:\Users\MyUsername\AppData\Local\Temp\{59EDB6A3-BC03-4435-A5BB-57C41D0E10B7}\ it gave some error and quit. Then I couldn't even run the old version as it had deleted boincmgr.exe I downloaded it again. Same problem. Ran it as Administrator, same problem. Gave up on updating it. Reinstalled 7.6.22 and it works, not updating until this gets fixed. System is Windows 10 Pro x64 Build 14393.479 Core i7-4790K 16 GB DDR3 Geforce 970
