1) Message boards : Questions and problems : File won't run - BOINC insists CPU is busy (Message 77853) Posted 11 May 2017 by Ti Post: I'm at my wit's end. I just installed the latest BOINC for Mac (v7.6.34 v3) and I can't get rid of an error message that says: << BOINC suspended; CPU busy.>> I'm running El Capitan on an iMac. I have been running SETI@Home on BOINC without any problems for years -- until the current file that seems to refuse to do anything further. This has been going on with a file I got in January, roughly 2 hours into the file. It has about 59 mins. remaining to finish the calculations. The file was due back in March. It's now May. The file won't finish and it won't delete itself and give me a new file. My Preferences do not request that BOINC be suspended for any reason. How do I overcome this obstacle? Thanks much.

2) Message boards : Questions and problems : CPU Busy Message (Message 74383) Posted 25 Nov 2016 by Ti Post: I have been running SETI at Home for years with no problems until recently. For reasons that elude me, within the past several weeks, the BOINC screen keeps suspending crunching the SETI data on the grounds that the CPU is busy. I’m running the latest BOING (v. 7.6.22) on a Mac running El Capitan. I have not made any modifications to my system preferences and can’t find anything on SETI to indicate that they’re having server problems. Anyone have a clue why I might be getting this CPU busy message 24/7? Thanks much.
