Thank you. I feel like such a fool as it says it won't work with Vista (and I know implied Windows 7 too) right in the text next to the check box. My only excuse is that I have some Windows XP boxes too and as everyone knows the daemon service works just fine there.

I will now search the forum to see if there is any possibility to get the daemon service working on Vista / Win-7. I suspect the answer is "no" and is due to some MS issue. Thank you for the prompt answer. I am happily running my GPU now.

Nope - that's not it either. Driver 190.38, BOINC 6.6.38 doesn't work either. I give up until someone can give me an idea of something else to try.

Still no good. Next I will try downgrading the driver to 190.38 (Note: I did NOT upgrade the driver to 191.07 when upgrading BOINC to 6.10.18. It was running stable with 191.07 and BOINC 6.6.41)

I am also having the same problem after "upgrading" to BOINC 6.10.18 from 6.6.41. This is a newly built system, Windows 7-64 bit and has been running BOINC 24/7 for a couple of weeks. GTX 275, driver 191.07

I will downgrade to 6.6.38 and see if that fixes it. At the moment, I think there is a bug in 6.10.18.
