Hi, I've been waiting a while to get packets. Haven't seen one yet. Am I doing something wrong? I signed up when I found out you were giving packets out but haven't seen any activity after signing up weeks ago is there a problem? Just hoping and waiting and ready when you are. Using an Acer Aspire 5741G I5-430M processor, ATI-Mobility Radeon HD 5470, and 4 gigs of ram. Haven't made any tweaks to BOINC.

Thanks,
John

I have them at 100%. I don't think I know about a "site" to change prefs.

If my Windows XP OS is seeing my I8400 core 2 Duo as 4 processors why is BOINC only utilizing 2 of those processors? Do I need to turn something on, is it not in the program yet, or is the CPU utilized as 2 64 bit processors, or something else?

I am not sure where to post this question. So let me know if it is best posted somewhere else. I was wondering and trying to figure out if this program runs more efficiently running more 32 bit CPUs (I8400-32 bit seen as 4 processors) or 64 bit processors (I8400-64 bit seen as 2 processors)? Also why BOINC measures in MIPS and not MFLOPS? Is there a benchmark for MFLOPS slated to be added to BOINC?

I am not sure what is going on but my boinc acount keeps being lost. I will create one then the next time I try to login it says that there is no account. I have 2 computers. both have v...38. one works. My new computer however keeps trying to connect but can't. I have uninstalled & reinstalled multiple times. it will work for a little while then start the whole thing over. When it disconnects I can't access anything. No settings, no buttons. All greyed out. I am realy curious why the program is getting worse not better. It is almost treating me as an invalid user or my account is bad. I was using a USB thumb as a cash with eBooster would that have anything to do with it and if it does it should be with the install requirements as at least a warning or something. Hope whatever is plaging the system gets fixed soon. This is realy anoying. Ive wasted hours trying to solve the issue myself. It looks like it is at least being looked at. I put my sysmptoms out to see if mine are different than the rest.

Thanks,
John
