Problem building Boinc from the sources (stable and development versions)

Posted 21 Jan 2007 by Marc Seil Post: Hy, After checking the source code of upper_case.c I removed the line #define BOINC_APP_GRAPHICS as I am not interested in a graphical compliant work unit application. Even I don't get the point why this define is included in the source code and is not passed as a compiler flag or through the configure script. Nevertheless it works fine now in my case for the boinc_core_release_5_4_11. Maybe this can help someone else. |

As I want to introduce BOINC with a brief development history I would like to collect some time line milestones. BOINC MySQL Database structure

Posted 26 May 2006 by Marc Seil Post: Hy, Is there anyone who could point me to some details on the BOINC server database structure/layout. I would like to use the mysql client to interact with the database and perform administrative tasks, like removing wu's (I know that the ops frontend can do this), updating delay_bounds and so on. Till now I didn't find a manual or documentation explaining the different tables in detail and how the dependencies are organised. Actually I am looking through the scripts and source code, as I didn't find a convenient documentation on this parts. Help would be welcom. |

In order to deepen my knowledge I would be interested in the implementation of the server side. Can anyone point me to some documents which are dealing with the server side administration of boinc and the used database structure (eg. Removing workunits, Selecting results ... directly from the database, not through the *_ops web frontend). Best regards. Marc |
