2) Message boards : Questions and problems : BOINC manager is not able to connect to BOINC client (Message 24944) Posted 20 May 2009 by vaughan Post: BOINC 6.6.20 Win XP Pro 32bit SP3 BOINC Manager loses its connection so all projects and tasks etc are blank. Message in lower right side of BOINC Manager says Connecting to localhost When this happens it says Connected to localhost 6.6.20. Now all the Projects are listed. Good. Now try to set a Project to get new work. Allow new tasks. Message says Communicating with BOINC client. Please wait Screen loses all the projects. BAD. Lower right says Connecting to localhost. Rinse and Repeat Only started recently. Does this on two computers so far. Tried upgrading to latest BOINC. Didn't help. Tried uninstalling and re-installing bOINC. Didn't help. Tried uninstalling BOINC, using Regedit to clear every trace of BOINC. Reboot reinstall BOINC. Didn't help. Running No Prime Left Behind now.
