1) Message boards : Questions and problems : Cannot install BOINC (Message 70763) Posted 9 Jul 2016 by Michael Keyes Post: Have noticed previous install still in "programs and features", but unable to uninstall because it can't find THAT "msi" file. version is 7.0.64 installed on 6/13/2013. Would that be the reason it won't install a new version? If so, how do I get rid of it? Attempting Registry edit to remove all references to "BOINC" from system, then will re-attempt installation of latest version.

Have had BOINC on in the past, but due to a crash, was forced to reload computer. Have downloaded fresh installation to run. Installation extracts BOINC.MSI, but cannot us it when it is necessary during the installation. I have tried pointing to it using browse, but still unable to complete installation. I have tried with and without "Virtual Box"
