Just wanted to add that my .36 installs on both XP and OSX are essentially flawless as well. My only glitch was OSX BOINC not seeing my GPU when it auto-launches right after a reboot, but it will see it after I quit and relaunch it. I think it's just a driver or something isn't fully loaded up before the machine auto-launches BOINC.

My Mac Pro with 8800 installed boots up and auto launches BOINC. When I upgraded to .36 and finally got the CUDA working (ya!) I noticed that the first launch after a reboot it won't see the GPU, but if I just quit, wait a few seconds and relaunch it, then BOINC will see it.

10.6.2. My machine

So far so good on 6.6.36. Crunched for about a week straight now and no disconnect issues....

I was having the exact same issue on my MacPro 3.2 (2008). I had reverted to 6.6.20 because of it. I'll report if this new release fixes it for me.

Thanks, Ageless more or less answered my question. I couldn't find any news as to why the recommended version of Mac was lower then the Win client. CUDA explains this.
If someone was to vaguely ball park a release for a new version what would you say? 1 month? 3 months? 6 months? Not looking for a hard date, just a "Gut feeling" as to when it might be ready for prime time based on progress made so far...
My 8800GT is waiting to crunch! (I hope it's compatible)

I see that the alpha's for OSX are coming along at more or less the same pace as the Win/Linux versions. Yet our recommended version is still at 6.2.18. Anyone know what the status/timeframe for a newer version of the "recommended" client for OSX is? I can't seem to find any sort of news about a new recommended release beyond alpha bug fixes.
