Posted 29 May 2016 by justakiwibird Post: I installed on my phone yesterday and am having the same issue running WCG. Disappointing. There is no point in continuing crunching on my phone if this is the default behaviour. Just a waste of time and wear and tear on my phone for absolutely nothing. |

Posted 29 May 2016 by justakiwibird Post: OK, I managed to figure out how to get it to run even when the screen is on but every time I resume crunching the work units are starting over from scratch. For example, I had my phone connected to the charger earlier today - two units were processing. I had to go out so unplugged my phone to take with me. Have just got home and plugged it back in again, but it has now started the units over from the beginning again. Surely this isn't default behaviour? |

Posted 28 May 2016 by justakiwibird Post: I've been crunching for years on my PC but have only just installed BOINC on my smartphone. The install went fine and it downloaded work but today nothing seems to be happening. I'm unable to observe it crunching because it tells me "turn off screen to resume computing" - all I see is 4-5 downloaded units and no progress anywhere. I have it plugged in to charger. Is there a way to tell it NOT to stop computing when the screen is on? Just so I can actually observe what its doing for a bit? |
